Shenyang, China is my hometown, where I had my colorful childrenhood. After high school, I have been a farmer in countryside as one so called the "educated youth". Then I entered university in 1977, by the First National Admission Exam since the Cultural Revolution.
My BS was in Engineering Mechanics. My time in college was fully filled with academic and athletic activities. And I took the postgraduate study in Earthquake Engineering for a MS. Then worked as a researcher in Seismological Risk Analysis in Beijing, China.
With the hope to become a top scientist, I came to USA in 1989 for my Ph.D. study, . After I graduated with my Ph.D. in Engineering, I found academia in Mechanics is not all I want with this life. So I changed my career to Finance, by taking a MS in Computatinal Finance. Then I found a job in New York as a Quantitative Financial Analyst. I have worked in Fixed Income, Interest Rate Derivatives, Currency market, and Risk management for more than 20 years, and enjoy the fun so far.
Married once a time and divorced many years ago with no children, I returned to my bachelor life. I have worked for many companies in US, and lived in TN, IL, WI, PA, OH, NY, CA, and NJ. I appreciate the natures and cultures in Southeast, Mildwest, and East/West Coasts, You can find those experience in my Photo Gallery.
Checking my box of chocolate, I try to find out what I gonn'a to get next.
